David Taylor Dadswell's story

David Taylor Dadswell, a school teacher, was the third son of Edward Okill and Elizabeth (Taylor) Dadswell. He was baptised at Rotherfield on 2 February 1800.

About 1819 he married Harriett (family name not known). They had four children, all baptised at Rotherfield.

Harriett Dadswell died in 1840 and David Taylor Dadswell married a second time, in 1844 when he was aged about 44, to Mary (family name unknown).

David Taylor Dadswell became the schoolmaster at Blue Coat Charity School at Crowborough. He died on 23 June 1872 at Rotherfield, aged about 72.
