Percy Joseph Dadswell's story
Percy Joseph Wardlow Dadswell, the second of six children of Stephen and Ellen (Pett) Dadswell, was born in Melbourne on 22 January 1884.
For many years he identified himself as a turner by trade. Later he described himself as an engineer. On 15 March 1910 at Castlemaine, Victoria he married Eva Victoria Scadden, daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Cleaves) Scadden, and the couple had three daughters, Nellie, Naomi and Dorothea (Joy).
The family lived at Moonee Ponds, Camberwell and Glen Iris. Eva Dadswell died in March 1966, Percy died in January 1970.
